Gates Elementary School 2020 Recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award 2020 National Blue Ribbon School Profile *** Principal's Back to School Letter 2020-2021 *** Daily Schedule: Grades 1-6 Blue Cohort Monday & Thursday - 8:50-3:20 Gold Cohort Tuesday & Friday - 8:50-3:20 Wednesday - Remote Learning - 8:50 - 11:50 Kindergarten AM Kindergarten - 8:50-11:30 (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) PM Kindergarten - 12:40-3:20 (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) Wednesday - Remote Learning - 8:50 - 11:50 Students may be dropped off between 8:35am and 8:50am. Please note: Students may not arrive at school any more than 15 minutes before the official beginning of the school day, as we do not allow unsupervised children in the building. There is no supervision provided for a child prior to this time unless parents have previously arranged for their child to attend after-school or extended day programs. The following classroom donations are still appreciated: facial tissue, sanitizer, wipes, and extra healthy snacks. Check with your child’s teacher first before you purchase any donations as it may vary by teacher and grade level. DESE School Report Card ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Online Forms with Descriptions Safe Arrival It is important for the school to know if your child will be absent or be late to school. Please complete the electronic form or call 978-263-7425 . One-Day Pick Up Form Please complete the following online form when picking up your child either during or at the end of the school day. This online form should be completed by 1pm otherwise, please call the office. Parents enter on side of building and pick up in 6th grade pod when picking up at dismissal time. One-Day Bus Pass Form: ( NOTE:Will be available starting September 16th.) Please use this form if your child needs to bus pass. Requests MUST be submitted by 2:00PM the day before the bus pass is required. Approval for this bus pass is determined by the Transportation Department. Permanent Pick Up Please use this form if you plan to pick up your student at dismissal time on a regular basis (each day, every Monday, etc). Parents enter on side of building and pick up in 6th grade pod when picking up at dismissal time. One Day Permission to Walk Please use this form to give to your son/daughter to walk at dismissal time for a specific day. Permanent Permission to Walk Please use this form to give to your son/daughter to walk at dismissal time on a regular basis. Please specify which day(s) student may walk.
